RIBA CPD Face to Face

Agenda

This new CPD highlights façade membranes as an important element within the façade construction for weather protection and for maintaining the energy efficiency of a building. Following Grenfell, the topic of fire protection on the façade also takes centre stage. This webinar will provide an in-depth insight into the options available for façade membranes in order to achieve optimum safety with regard to fire, driving rain and mould growth, depending on the requirements. The focus here is on fire risk buildings, needing to be watertight. In addition, the important UK Building Regs and which certificates and compliance you should definitely check for your decision will be presented. By the end of the CPD you should have a greater understanding of:

  • Why A1-W2 and A2-W1 membranes are important for buildings
  • Attributes of Euroclass A1 and A2 building membranes
  • Driving rain and damp effects on high-rise buildings
  • Importance of certificates and compliance for offerings
  • Which membrane for which type of building?
  • References
  • Installation considerations

including test videos.
